DPS Inc is a Government Contractor – what does that mean?

A Government Contractor is a company that holds a contract with one or more of the departments of the U.S. Government to provide services to that department. In the case of DPS we employ Dental Professionals who work in U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine or Prison Service clinics.

Would I have to join the military?

No. Contract Healthcare Workers work alongside Active Duty Military, Reserve and Government Service healthcare providers but do not have to join the military.

Would I be a Government Employee?

No. You would be an employee of DPS, Inc. You would receive pay and benefits from DPS, Inc under the terms of your Employment Agreement with DPS.

How can I work for DPS when I’m in another state or area of the country?

DPS employees are supervised on a day to day basis by the active duty or Government employees at the clinic in which they work.

Does DPS pay for relocation expenses?

No. You would be responsible for making your own relocation arrangements.

What is Personal Leave?

Personal Leave is a combination of vacation and sick leave.

How and when would I be paid?

DPS employees are paid by Direct Deposit. A pay schedule will be provided to you if you are offered a position.

What Benefits does DPS, Inc. offer?

Benefits include paid Personal Leave, Company 401K, Flex Plan, paid Federal Holidays. DPS does not provide Health Insurance.
